Victoria Beckham is not just a pop and fashion icon, but also a body icon. Her super skinny look is copied by girls and women around the world, despite fears that it is dangerously unhealthy.

Experts maintain that the star, who has a 24 inch waist, is underweight and her body fat is too low, but her continued status as one of the world's top style icons sends out the message to other women that her look is not only attainable but also desirable. She is listed as the number one inspiration for anorexics and since being pictured with the 'Skinny Bitch' diet book sales have soared, although rumour has it that she survives largely on Diet Coke and low calorie snacks.

She denies that she has an eating disorder and simply credits her super slim look to nothing more than 'discipline'.

Her sphere of influence also extends to other celebrities - Britney Spears is allegedly now on the Victoria Beckham diet, whatever that may be, and Tom Cruise has banned his wife, Katie Holmes a close friend of the Beckhams, from discussing food and diet with the former Posh Spice altogether.
