How To Make A Crap Pop Video. Well, it is not as easy as it sounds, it takes work to be this bad but if you put the effort in and religiously follow the steps detailed here you too could be the proud star of something as good as this.

After the success of Boyzone and Westlife, every Irish boy with a tight t-shirt, some ripped jeans, a tub of hair gel, a talent for mime, the willingness to do whatever it took to get famous and nothing better to do than stand outside the job centre all day had a chance of being signed up by a manager and putting a few songs out, even this lot. The combination of general disinterest, tuneless banal music and clueless choreography displayed here should be an inspiration to us all.

Surprisingly, although never quite cracking the UK market, the boys somehow recovered from this start to become big in Japan. To be fair it is not quite as bad as Boyzone's famous appearance on The Late Late Show. After a couple of years wannabes four and five left the band for personal reasons, (it was hardly going to be due to artistic differences was it?) and left one, two and three to soldier on without them. Seven years later and they have won a Smash Hits award, supported their heroes Westlife and Blue on tour (they even did a duet with Antony Costa, the ugly one), and done some panto and lots of charity work. On top of all that they have somehow managed to score three UK top ten singles, four back in Ireland, eight in Japan (including four number ones), four in China (one number one). On the album front they have recorded an Irish number two (it is all a bit number two if you ask me), and three number ones and a top selling DVD in Japan. They have even released a 'best of' album. Shows what we know, eh?

1: Spend a lot of time looking moody on a beach, it helps if it is cold - do not forget the close ups

2: Point a lot. At anything and everything, in as many different ways as possible. Group pointing is good, as are combos

3: Stand very close and jiggle in a camp manner

4: Choreograph the simplest dance routine ever then mess it up anyway

5: Look miserable and edgy, when not being miserable and edgy grin in a cheesy and slightly sinister manner, especially on school visits
